The particles in the water will penetrate into the laser casing, directly attached to the circuit board, or even penetrate the optical module attached to the surface of the sensitive optical fiber. The surface of the optical fiber absorbs the laser light and generates heat, which destroys the coating layer and causes the entire optical part to be destroyed.
Therefore, once the laser or processing head suffers serious water soaking, the end customer must be reminded to notify the equipment manufacturer as soon as possible after-sales, and confirm that the laser and laser output head have no problems through on-site maintenance or return to the factory for cleaning.
If the current after-sales tasks are tight, you can also ask the customer to take a picture and send it to the OUHK engineer to simply judge whether you need to return to the factory. The OUHK is willing to fully assist your service work at this special moment!
